SUMMARY:Belonging Toolkit
DESCRIPTION:In this session\, Dr. KT Todd will share about the results of an IMLS-funded National Leadership Grant focused on belonging. This multi-year\, multi-site research project investigated the relationships between belonging for visitors and museum staff. This session will share about the research process and findings as well as showcasing a suite of tools the project designed to support museums to explore and enhance belonging in their own contexts. A highlight of the toolkit is a collaborative board game for museum staff that provides a safe and accessible entry point to conversations about belonging\, which can often be touchy and emotional. See how addressing belonging can honor the depth and importance of the topic while also embracing museum workers’ need for joy\, care\, and creativity.
